Missing Teeth

At Instant Dental, we take care of two overarching cases of missing teeth: following a trauma ending in a tooth loss, but you were able to locate the tooth or when a tooth had to be removed or was lost due to a medical condition like an infection.

For the first scenario, you must book an emergency dentist appointment with our dental team immediately. The sooner you can get to our practice for intervention, the higher the likelihood is that we can save and successfully reattach your tooth. While you are waiting to come in, take the following steps: rinse the tooth with milk or salt water and attempt to reintroduce the tooth by inserting it back in the socket and biting down on a piece of clean gauze.

If you cannot keep the tooth in the socket, place the tooth in a container full of milk and bring it with you to your appointment. Once at your appointment, your emergency dentist will decide if the tooth can be re-implanted using clear plastic or wire.

If your tooth either cannot be re-implanted or is missing due to medical reasons, Instant Dental offers a variety of different replacement options:

• Dental Implants: A titanium root is fused with the jawbone and topped with a crown which acts as a natural tooth.
• Dental Bridges: An artificial tooth or teeth is/are permanently attached to the two surrounding teeth or dental implants.
• Partial Dentures: Removable structures which cover the gums and are attached to the surrounding teeth.

What is a dental implant?
